I like to think of myself as a very festive person. The holiday music, the decorations, the food, more food! Now of course Halloween is coming up and I know SOMEONE if not many are throwing a party. In college people mess up when it comes to throwing parties, they have music and decorations and drinks but they NEVER have food. Wanna know what brings people to a party? FOOD. Mention that food is available and see how fast people decide to go. Food is the way to many people’s hearts and also the way to a good party, so i’ve decided to give you guys a couple treat ideas since halloween is around the corner.

 

Halloween Trail Mix/ Monster Munch

Ingredients

  • A big bowl
  • Wax paper
  • Vanilla candy melt
  • Corn chex cereal
  • Pretzels
  • M&M (personal preference is okay)
  • Candy corn
  • Orange and black sprinkles

Now these aren’t set in stone because its trail mix so you can add popcorn if you like or substitute the candy corn for another fun favorite candy!

Directions

  • Melting the vanilla candy melt
  • Take all the ingredients in one bowl and toss them well with the candy melt.  L
  • ay the mix out on wax paper for it to dry.
  • Once the mix is dry it is time to get your monster munching on.

 

Strawberry Ghosts

Ingredients

  • Bowl
  • Strawberries
  • Vanilla candy melts
  • Mini chocolate chips

Directions

  • Wash the strawberries and cut the stem off (if desired)
  • Melt the vanilla candy melts in the bowl
  • Dib the strawberry in the melted vanilla candy melt evenly (you can choose to cover completely or partially.
  • Lay strawberry on the wax paper
  • Take 3 small chocolate chips and use them to make eyes and a mouth for your strawberry ghost
  • Let dry
  • Continue until all strawberries or vanilla melt is gone

 

Caramel Apple Nachos

Ingredients

  • Plate
  • Granny Smith Green apples
  • Caramel sauce
  • Desired toppings (nuts, pecans, Chocolate chips)

Directions

  • Slice apples into wedges
  • Lay apple wedges on a plate
  • Drizzle caramel over apple wedges
  • Sprinkle desired topping over the the wedges
  • Enjoy

 

Now you have the knowledge to make at least three treats for your halloween party. The effort will pay off when a guest is raving over your Monster Munch!
