Five Things I Like about Working at Commons

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Gettysburg chapter.
  1. The People

Everyone who works at Commons is as sweet as the drinks. They are so nice and friendly, and I have met so many great people. It’s such a positive work environment that is so understanding and loving. If you ever make a mistake, knock something over, or even bump into someone, it’s never seen as negative. Overall, working with them is so fun, and I love all the stories I hear.

  1. The Drinks

Coffee is my favorite thing in the world, so working at a coffee shop allows me to try new ideas and experiment with tastes. There are so many fascinating drinks, and I always love to see people’s unique orders.

  1. The Rushes

As much as people hate rushes, I feel like they give me the adrenaline that I miss sometimes. There are times where it gets too quiet, and I need some excitement, so even when the rushes are a little stressful, they are actually fun for me!

  1. The Music

My absolute favorite part of the job is singing and listening to the songs on the radio that play while we work. The music is always so good and makes working so much more fun.

  1. The Uniform

This may sound weird but I think the uniform is so cute! It is a burgundy t-shirt that has such soft material and fits great! The front is plain while the back says “Some Heroes Wear Capes, Some Heroes Make Your Coffee” with a cute coffee cup around it!

Overall, I love working at Commons!
