Buying Textbooks as told by “New Girl”

It’s almost time for the next semester to begin. That means a fresh start with new classes, new material, and new books. Yes, time to buy a whole new set of college textbooks. We all know the pain of staring at that price and handing over the cash or hitting the “purchase” button. Here are some of the thoughts that may be racing through your mind in the process of book-buying:

 

Looking at the list of books and hating even your favorite subject:

 

Thinking about how you’re going to pay for all your books:

 

Asking an upperclassman how much the book costs:

 

Begging your boss for a raise on account of the textbooks you need to purchase for next semester:

 

How you know you would feel in class without the books:

 

Begging your parents for a loan:

 

When they ask how much it is:

 

When you’re online trying to find the best price and you get distracted:

 

Finally giving in and pay the ridiculous amount:
