Meet Our Newest Member, Sophia!

Meet Her Campus Gonzaga’s newest member and fantastic author and creator, Sophia Maggio!  Through her writing, Sophia has proven her love for adventure and Gonzaga! With a smile that lights up a room, Sophia is a person you should get to know.

Age/Year: 18/ Freshman

Hometown: Everett, WA

Major/Minor: Double-major in Psychology (research concentration) and Art with a Leadership Studies minor

Wise Words: “Tomorrow is a new day, and today is already tomorrow.” I said this to my roommate recently after she had a rough day, only to realize that it was one in the morning.

Real wise words: “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25

Best Binge-Watch: I’m not a big TV person, but I was really into Lost for a while (4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42!!!)

Dream Job: Occupational therapist working with elderly patients, freelance artist on the side. Possibly a tattoo artist on the side as well, but I’m not a fan of needles and I don’t have any tattoos, nor do I plan to get any, so… Maybe I would just design the tattoos. 

Go-To Insta Filter: I’m super bad about updating my Insta and haven’t posted anything since last June! But I do like the black-and-white filter! Simple and classy. 

Perfect Pizza: Deep-dish with not a lot of cheese (I don’t really like cheese… but I like bread), lots of veggies and pesto. Maybe white sauce… depends on the day.  

Favorite Thing About GU: Everyone is so supportive and kind – especially when you most need it. I also love Jundt and my professors.
