Chances are you’ve seen Emily McAllen in at least one of three places: dancing on the court during basketball games, greeting friends in Hemmingson with a smile on her face, or studying diligently on the third floor of the library. As one of the captains of the Gonzaga Dance Team, Emily embodies the hardworking spirit of a Zag by spending hours perfecting the dances that the team performs in front of the Kennel during games. And in addition to that, she has the biggest heart on campus and is passionate about everything she does! Keep an eye out for her around campus and she’s sure to give you the brightest smile you’ve ever seen!

What is your favorite part about being captain of the dance team?
My favorite part about being captain is getting to choreograph the routines. There are a lot of stresses that go into being captain and so this is the perfect outlet to decompress and have fun! Our dances are what people remember us by so I try to make them fun and memorable! I love adding a little sass into each one of our dances to give it that little something extra.
