[Author’s Note:] With this week’s theme being GCPride and the school’s promotion of a pseudo-Homecoming (i.e. Parent’s weekend), HerCampus Grinnell caught up with an athlete to watch: David Ternes. When asked to describe the singular force of nature that is David Ternes, next door neighbor, long time fan and eternal prospie brother Hayes Gardner ‘15 had this to say: “Ternes is the type of guy to register 18 tackles, save a kitten from drowning and still be home in time for dinner.” While the beard and inability to smile in photos may seem intimidating, David Ternes is one of the sweetest, nicest individuals at Grinnell. Also, get out this weekend and support: David, former cutie Ed Hardman ‘16 and all the other cute members of the football team out on Rosenbloom Field Saturday at 1:00 pm against Macalester College.
