With the midterms around the corner, it’s time to start schlepping to Gelman again to get a head start on that reading. As you spend your days (and all-nighters) in the library, what you’re wearing is probably the last thing on your mind. It’s difficult to muster up the energy to put together a cute outfit when you’re overtired and stressed, but it’s also important not to look like a complete slob either. Follow this simple formula for an outfit that’s comfy and cute.
Sweater + Leggings + Boots

Ditch your sweatpants for a pair of leggings, which you may or may not already wear on a daily basis. They’re almost as comfy and a lot more put together than that pair of oversized sweats that you’ve had since high school. Pair your leggings with a loose, oversized sweater, which is comfy and unconstricting for a long day of studying. Lastly, add a pair of riding boots or motorcycle boots and you’re good to go.
Fitted tee + slouchy pants + ankle boots

What if you really can’t ditch the sweatpants? Try a pair of jogger pants for a more refined take on traditional sweatpants. Pair with a fitted top so you don’t get lost in fabric. Finish with a pair of ankle boots.
Now grab a Starbucks and get back to those flashcards!
