Fall is coming! You know what this means. The best season for fashion is on the horizon. Fall is where fur and leather are necessities, where black is the new black, and where cyber can make daily appearances. Be prepared to layer, purchase your favorite bootie, and update your scarf collection because once fall comes to Hampton University- it does not leave.
Â
So what is fall fashion like on a campus where the “Pop-Out” is a must? Here are 5 items you need in your fall wardrobe.
Â
1.    Fur vest – What is more fun than fur? Every girl needs a fur vest in her closet. As one of last year’s biggest trends, it is sure to make an appearance again. It is fall’s number one fashion layering piece and will complete almost any look. You can instantly dress up a look when worn over jackets and sweaters. It’s all a matter of personal style and how you pair it with different items. So don’t be afraid to add this trendy- sophisticated-classy-feeling piece to your fall closet.Â
Â
2.    Black heeled bootie – Now, I am in love with knee high boots, and if I was doing a top 10, a suede knee high black boot would have made the cut. But the black heeled bootie is a must have. Heeled booties are great because they dress up a look similar to how a chunky heeled sandal does with your summer outfit. Aldo has some great booties, accented with gold zippers and soles, so perfect!Â
Â
3.    Infinity scarf – If you don’t have a scarf during the fall and winter seasons at Hampton: one, you are missing out on a fabulous accessory, and two, you are going to freeze. It is too cold! You can wear an infinity scarf tight or long, they come in any color you want, and they can definitely complete your look.Â
Â
4.    Pea coat- A necessity for more of the winter than the fall, but pea coats are all-time fashion pieces that every style conscious person, male or female, should own. The epitome of style and warmth, pea coats make a statement. I prefer long pea coats, in black of course.Â
Â
5.    Leather jacket- It’s leather weather! Do not enter fall without a leather jacket. Leather jackets should be a staple in every girl’s closet, but styling them can be a challenge when your wardrobe ranges from soft and feminine to hard and edgy. Pair your leather jacket with your favorite scarf, prints, or a basic and your favorite jeans.
