Armstrong Stadium was full of Hamptonians and Spartans for the football game between the Hampton Pirates and Norfolk State Spartans at 1 pm today for what is referred to as the“Battle of the Bay.” The rivalry between Hampton and Norfolk State University has gone on for years and continues to be the event to look forward to. Hampton cheered on their Pirates today not only during the game but also during halftime when The Force played and when the cheerleaders cheered during the quarters as well! The Battle of the Bay is one of the most lit events of the year and this year Hampton’s student government association hosted a tailgate before the game! Although the Pirates lost, the student body still cheered on and enjoyed themselves.
