Hampton Man Crush: Brandon “BHall” Hall

This week’s Hampton Man Crush is Brandon Hall or you may know him as “BHall”! This 6’2” cutie is a Junior, Criminal Justice major from Waldorf, Maryland. Brandon is very active on campus. He is in Army ROTC, where he serves on the Public Affairs Committee, QEC (Junior Class) Student Life Committee, and he is also a Spring ‘17 initiate of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., where he currently serves as the Vice President. As busy as he is, Her Campus got the chance to catch up with him this week on topics from relationships to military life!

HC: What made you join the ROTC program and what has been your proudest moment?

BH: Mainly because of my line brother, Brian Battle, we grew up together, and when he joined I saw how much he liked it, and how it shaped him as a person. I also saw it as an opportunity to go to college for free and after a few tours and staying with Brian I knew it was for me. Specifically the Army because of the opportunities after graduation. I would say my proudest moment was when I got my scholarship. I received a big check and I got sworn in and it felt surreal to know that I have a job after graduation and that college is free.

HC: Do you feel that the program is shaping you to become a leader?

BH: It definitely is. It has been very beneficial. I have had a lot of people mentor me, 2nd Lieutenant (LT) Brett Harris, Brian Battle, and Dominique Hardy have been a great influence in my life. While in ROTC, I have developed more than just leadership skills but life skills. It has evolved my character as a whole.

HC: What are your plans after graduation?

BH: To commission as 2nd LT in the Army and go into the intelligence branch. Hopefully I can do 20 years, then retire and pursue a career in the FBI and get my Masters in Criminal Justice.

HC: How do feel about dating in college and are you currently involved with someone?

BH: No, I am not currently involved with someone. Dating has never been a top priority of mine. I’ve always been focused on my future, however now near graduation it is a thought in the back of my head.

HC: Would you want your S/O to be in the military or with a military background?

BH: I feel like it could probably be easier if she had a military background because she would understand better, but if she doesn’t then that’s fine it will give me someone to balance out the lifestyle so it doesn’t get overwhelming.

HC: Describe the perfect first date?

BH: I enjoy food a lot and I like to cook, but since I’m from Maryland I would want to go to D.C. to try a new restaurant we both have never been to, and park the car a little further so we can walk, look at the scenery, and get to know each other a little bit more.

HC: How do you feel about dating a virgin?

BH: I don’t see an issue with that. I don’t think you should go into a relationship expecting that someone has had relations with someone else.

HC: First thing you notice? Turn on/offs? BH: Hair is the first thing I notice about a female. Turn offs would have to be some who is messy physically and socially, unorganized, and who has no plans, goals or aspirations. A turn on would have to be some who is goal oriented, someone who can dress, and loves food as much as I do.

HC: How do you feel about females making the first move?

BH: I prefer it when females make the first moves because I love the confidence it shows and I am more of a shy person.

Well, there you have it! Be sure to follow this cutie on Instagram @bhall!
