This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hampton U chapter.

Halloween has to be one of my favorite times of the year. From the spooky decorations to the adorable spooky season baskets. The amount of creativity people put into costumes and dressing up always seems to amaze me !

Halloween is right around the corner, I know if you are like me, you probably wait till the last minute to come up with a costume idea. Fear not, I am going to give you three quick and easy makeup looks that you can do. Believe me, if you go to any Halloween party with these looks you are sure to be a show stopper !

Look #1: Glam Black Cat
For this look you will need a glitter of your choice preferably a chunky glitter to make your eyes stand out more. Black liquid liner and lipstick to create the nose, whiskers and mouth area. Lastly, a regular eyeshadow palette to create the desired look you want to achieve. To finish off the look proceed with your regular makeup routine.

Products Used: Morphe 350 eyeshadow palette, NYX glitter, Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Black Radiance Contour Palette, Airspun powder, Kat Von D Lipstick, and Wet n Wild Black Liquid Liner

This look is extremely simple, and with the glitter it makes the look pop even more. All you need to do is pop on some cat ears and find a cute tail and you are… Purrfect!

Look #2: Cute Scarecrow

Normally, scarecrows are super creepy figures… but with the power of makeup you can create an adorable look that is sure to draw attention at any Halloween party.

For this look you will need a bright eyeshadow palette with colors such as: red and orange. Then you will need a black lip pencil and red or orange lipstick in order to create the rosey cheeks, nose, and patch area’s. The key to this look, is to make your colors pop, you don’t want the patches of the stitches to look uniform either. Once you do that, go to your closet and pick out a plaid shirt, jeans/overalls, and boots- you got yourself a Pretty Scarecrow.

Suggested Products: Morphe 350 or Morphe 350M, Wet n Wild Mega Liquid Liner, any black lip pencil, Elf Cosmetics Moisturizing lipstick (or any orange/red lipstick) you have in your makeup bag. You can add glitter to your cheeks and patch areas, if you want to add a little glam to your look.

Look #3: Vampy Joker

In honor of the theatrical release of the movie the Joker, this easy makeup look is sure to tap into your “dark side”.

For this look all you will need is a burgundy toned eyeshadow palette, dark red lipstick and black liquid liner to create the diamond shapes underneath your eyes. I would suggest doing a burgundy smokey eye look- this will help the eye’s stand out more and create that vampy joker look.

Suggested Products: Huda Beauty Obsession Mauve palette, Maybelline Burgundy Bar palette, Black Radiance liquid gel liner, Lime Crime: Wicked lipstick, Colourpop Cosmetics Avenue. If you want to add a little flair to your look you can add jewels on the dots at the top and bottom of your eyes.

So don’t worry about trying to trying to rush to your local Target or Walmart to find an overpriced halloween costume. Use these three simple DIY looks, go into your closet and put together a cute fit.

Happy Halloween BOO !
