After 7 long years, I’m finally in my final year of my undergraduate studies! It was about a year ago that I had written my article, “Why It’s Okay to Change Your Major A Year Before Graduation”. Oh how time flies!
But this year, I have quite a lineup of things for me to make sure that I succeed in every aspect of my life. I’m striving to achieve a 4.0 this semester, I have a trip to LA planned for November, and am working three jobs (one being my RA position). I’m going to be sure that I balance everything and keep myself as happy as possible.
Academically:
I’ve always utilized planners and Google Calendar, but never together to create the ultimate planning routine. With everything that I have on my plate, I need to make sure to utilize every minute of my day and make sure that I don’t slack off or waste designated time. I have multiple calendars on my Google Calendar to help me organize every single task. Pink blocks are my classes, purple blocks are work, red blocks are RA tasks, and blue blocks are personal items/scheduled things with people.
Socially:
This year, I’m going to go out as much as I can. Rather than locking myself up in my room, my friends and I have planned to go out together at least once a month to a fun place (whether it be an arcade, to the movies, restaurant, or bar). This will force me to not think about work for a few hours.Â
I’m also going back to LA later this year for another concert. This time, I’m going to see Harry Styles!! This will also be my first time ever going to Disneyland so I plan on dropping some big bucks (which is why I’m working so much).
Mentally:
As for probably the most important aspect of life, I want to get back into therapy. I had a really horrible experience getting mental help, but I understand the importance of it, so I’ll give it another shot. I’m thinking of going to the counseling center on campus so that I can hopefully go after classes.
I’m so excited to graduate and finally get my degree!! And I want this year to be the best it can be!!
