Okay ladies, the game has changed. The hottest leggings are on the market and they are MUST HAVES – but only some. With the fitness industry growing, there are MANY new leggings out, but some are overhyped and some are just perfect. I have a wide array of leggings stacked in my closet that I would love to review.
I always go for buttery feeling leggings that feel like you are almost wearing nothing. Below are the best brands I personally think everyone should invest in. Â
- LUlulemon
-
Personally, I really do not think anyone can go wrong with investing in Lulu’s at least once in their life. I have pairs of leggings from seven years ago that I still wear to this day. Lulu has the most dependable leggings. They also have an astounding policy for thread pulls where you can return them or have them fixed.
FAVE STYLE: Align or Fast and Free
DESCRIPTION: Align is the buttery, nude feeling that I love. It is made out of Nulu fabric that gives it the weightless feeling as it molds your body. These leggings are definitely stretchy and less compressive. The only downside is that they pill a lot easier since they are mainly for yoga.
The Fast and Free legging is a more athletic style to me because it has a mix between nulu fabric and a spandex feeling. These are more compressive and ideal for a heavy, sweaty workout.
PRICE: $70-$100 but worth the investment!
RANK: 10/10 must haves
- Alphalete
-
Alphalete has recently been one of my newest obsessions but definitely an investment. I have only owned their Amplify collection and GIRL is it SO SOFT! I love wearing these to my workouts and around the house. They also come in shorts so it’s a win win.
FAVE STYLE: Amplify
DESCRIPTION: Amplify leggings/shorts are the buttery and stretchy. It has a medium thick waistband that compresses the core in the right areas. There is a butt scrunch that outlines the glutes which is very flattering. I have experienced some stitching ripping open but they replaced them when I sent pictures. The lighter colors from this brand are a bit sketchy to wear because they get SO dirty. My first pair are so dependable but my second pair I ordered rip which makes me wonder if they switched manufacturers?
PRICE: $75
RANK: 8/10 must haves only because the stitching.
- gymshark
-
The almighty dependable Gymshark athletic wear is the most dependable and affordable clothing on the market. Over the past few years their game has stepped up tremendously. They have seamless to vital and compressible leggings, shorts, sweats, bras, you name it! On top of this, they give students a discount through Student Beans. The only thing I don’t like are the ombre lines because I like similar, clean colors, but that’s just me!
FAVE STYLE: Vital Seamless, Seamless anything
DESCRIPTION: Anything seamless by Gymshark is amazing. Its THICK but buttery and compressing. No matter the workout, anything Gymshark has will support you through it at a great price.
PRICE: $30-60 worth the investment!
RANK: 10/10 must haves
- nvgtn
-
Personally, I do not like NVGTN and I am putting it here to share why, but it may work out for other people. So, NVGTN and I do not get along in the camel toe area because it really accentuates the outline of my vag. Many girls and I mean MANY go through this issue. In order to fix that, customers have to buy their seamless underwear to help. Sounds like it defeats the purpose? I also heard that customer service through NVGTN is not the best. Although, the leggings and shorts are very flattering on the glutes. I just feel like I constantly need to check my camel toe while I am working out because its that bad. I have only worn them around three times in the last two years!
PRICE: $60 buy at your own risk
RANK: 5/10 must haves depending on your anatomy
