Another week, another post! Welcome back fashionistas!

The outfit featuring in today’s post was actually meant to be the very first in Style Guide blog. Unfortunately, when our photographer Maija and I were trying to shoot it sometime back in February it was around -12 or -15 degrees Celsius outside! We both were freezing to death and the camera wouldn’t even focus properly. So, we decided to reshoot the outfit because the pictures were not of a good quality…  To add to that, last time we had our photoshoot at the Erottaja Rescue Station, which is still in use. We were receiving a little more strange looks than usually from the people, mainly firefighters working there. So awkward!

So, this time we went to Katajanokka outside Wanha Satama. It was so lovely outside, although still a bit colder than I expected, and no wonder, since I wasn’t wearing a proper jacket for the first 30 minutes or so . When I could not take it anymore, I decided that my wool coat could actually be a very nice addition to the original outfit rather than a different look. It still was very cold, but, as the matter of fact I think this was the longest time we spent on the phtoshoot, considering neither of us are “professionals”, nor do we have all professional equipment.

This time, we were also joined by Nanna Viikinkoski, a new photographer for HC Helsinki. It was such a lovely working experience! So, the photo credit for this photoshoot goes to two. Have you noticed the difference in the style of pictures, by the way? So far, it seems like both girls will help me with this blog, but we haven’t decided on anything, yet. We are just enjoying ourselves and the process doing what  we like best: fashion talk and photography.

As for the outfit, nothing too out of place. It never is with me! This is something every girl can pull off for either a job with a semi-formal dress code, or for school. There are no limits to where to wear it, I believe. The blue blazer adds “professionalism” and class to anything, but the jeans make the outfit more low-key.

Concerning the shirt, I’m just obsessed with stripes! I know they say horizontal stripes make you look bigger, but I just couldn’t care less to be honest. I like them and I feel good wearing them, so… And there’s something about the stripes, too… Everything striped never seems to look boring or inappropriate for a certain dress code; it looks classy and stylish, and just good on everyone. Add a cute purse and shoes, and you’re ready to go!
