Why did you choose Hofstra?
I was looking for schools with accredited Journalism programs and Hofstra was on that list. Â Also to narrow down my list I chose accredited programs that had Cheerleading teams that competed for UCA. Â It just so happened that Hofstra had an amazing program so I lucked out.
Were you involved in your high school’s cheer team?
Yes I was on Varsity all four years and competed at UCA High School nationals.
On the Hofstra Cheer Team, what can you say you’ve accomplished? I’ve accomplished three national championships in a row with my team.
How do you often warm-up or help yourself prepare to cheer?
We practice about six days a week and stretch and run before every practice while also working out on days off.
What sort of opportunities has being on the Cheer team allowed you to have?
I have been able to work for the Universal Cheerleaders Association. We’ve been on TV, performed at a Nets game, and participated in a flash mob at IKEA.
After graduation, what would be your dream job?
My dream job would be to work for any type of sports network or for the New York Mets organization.

Cheerleading was where I found out who I really was and helped me prepare for the career path I am on now.
