Cute Fall Date Ideas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.
1. Ice SkatingBy far one of my favorite activities to do in the fall. I used to go when I was a kid all the time and still go with my niece and nephews. Not only will this date make you feel like a kid again, but there’s plenty of opportunity for him to teach you something, or even have you teach him something. Expect some embarrassing moments, but you’ll both only laugh about them!

2.  Apple Picking
This may be one of the most stereotypical dates, but it’s never a let down. The possibilities here are endless and you’ll have a blast spending the entire day here. Put on a cute flannel shirt, your best riding boots and prepare yourself for a day of fun!

3. Football Games
It’s not for everyone, but if you’re a big sports fan like myself, this is a can’t miss. It’s football season, college and national, and you won’t be able to flip channels without seeing a game. This is the perfect opportunity to snuggle up to your significant other, and you’ll sure impress them with some sports talk. It never fails!

4. Movie Marathon
For those cold fall nights, marathons are the way to go for date night. Pop in a few good comedies like Wedding Crashers for him, and a good chick flick like Mean Girls for you.

5. Road Trip
I know what you’re thinking, road trips in the fall? It’s true though: they’re equally as enjoyable as those in the summer, but even better. Go on a weekend trip to somewhere romantic like a cabin in Vermont or Maine, ski, hike, or just stay in bed. Whatever it is, it’s definitely a weekend date to remember.

6. Cooking
There’s nothing sexier than a man in the kitchen, period. Cooking dates can mean a quiet night at home where the two of you get the opportunity to really sit back and relax and enjoy each other’s company. The best dates and memories are from the simplest things in life because they tend to mean the most.
