Another season comes with new clothes, new bags, new trends. Packing to move back onto college campuses nationwide, girls are deciding on which tops and bottoms reflect a relaxed attitude yet hold a chic, fashionable persona. This curated collection of fashion trends may prove to elevate an outfit during the autumn months.

Deer Print

Deer print is coming to stores everywhere. Even walking through Target, you can find printed deer pattern jeans, tops and skirts.

The trend is popping up on sites like Revolve, Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters. Deer print adds a modern element to outfits while keeping fashion neat. This trend is definitely a fad, following cheetah print in the 1960s and cow print in early 1990s, but it’s exciting to watch how the print will transform fashion this fall.

Western/Fringe

As scarves entered late summer fashion, it can be projected that fringe will follow into the fall. A western vibe is coming to the market with long skirts, cowboy boots and fringe jackets. Fringe will also be seen moving to purses and boots.

The fashion market is no stranger to a rodeo style, but this season will come with long skirts, oversized coats and large accessories. Big, suede belts and chunky necklaces will pair with every outfit to amplify creativity. Denim on denim and eccentric cowboy boots will stick in the past but the western brown will take over.

Burgundy and Olive

A pair of colors that everyone has been waiting for: burgundy and olive. The perfect fall combo will be a silk burgundy dress paired with an olive green cardigan, but the trends will allow loudly colored pants, skirts and sweaters.

Burgundy and olive as a pair create a rich, chic look. Even a lazy, comfortable look can look elevated with powerful color combinations.

Leather pencil skirts

Fall in college comes with jobs and internships which require a dedicated fashion. Pencil skirts are no stranger to fashion trends, but fall 2026 may experience a different look. A colorful, flowy version of the once stagnant, stiff pencil skirt will reach closets. Pair the pencil skirt with small little glasses and kitten heels and it’s screaming y2k chic.

Loud patterns

2026 has been filled with risky, fun fashion. It’s been the year of girls expressing themselves through their clothing. The fall will be no different. The market will see loud patterns such as plaid, stripes and polka dots.

Striped sweaters, polka dot jackets and plaid skirts will be a staple for cool girls across college campuses.

Fall is right around the corner with brands releasing updated flavors, colors and feeds. Fall fashion is not too far away and these trends will most likely pop up during the season.
