Friday Favorites: 10.22.11

 

 

Favorite Fall Treat: Pumpkin Cookies. During my childhood, my best friend’s mom would make these cookies every Fall. I always looked for them when I would go to her house! Want the recipe? Click here.

Favorite Fall Activity: Pumpkin Carving. I used to do this with my family every year. But now since I am far away from home (they live in St. Louis!) I can now look forward to doing this with my friends. It’s one of the only things that I am willing to get my hands dirty for!
 

Favorite Fall Look: Scarves. They are a great accessory to any outfit. Also, it’s a way to add subtle color for those who don’t play with colors all too often.

Favorite Fall Drink: Apple Cider. It tastes even better after picking the apples yourself!

Favorite Place on Campus (in the Fall): The Quad. It’s the perfect place to study, read, or just relax. I love looking at the pretty colors of the leaves on the trees and enjoying the slight breeze while reading a good book. It’s a great place to escape all of the stresses that come along with college.

Favorite Fall Nail Trend: Metallics. I especially like silvers and grays. Metallic colors always grab my attention!
 

Favorite Fall Decor: Lace Pumpkins. All you have to do is grab some patterned tights or stockings and wrap up your pumpkin and – voilà! – a simple, elegant fall decoration.
