Profile: About Our Chapter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

Spanning across the nation, Her Campus has over 300+ college chapters and nearly 7,000 contributors. The goal of each Her Campus chapter is to serve the students of that specific University on a variety of different platforms. Last year, the women of Her Campus Hofstra achieved their goal of reaching the highest chapter ranking, becoming a PINK level. Through hardwork, dedication, passion and determination, the ladies of HC Hofstra have grown this chapter extensively over the last couple of years.

The greatest thing about writing for Her Campus Hofstra is being able to write whatever you’re feeling. You get to make your voice heard and people listen! From beauty, health, fashion, fitness, gossip, career and more, young writers can talk about their passion and share their words with the world.

Writers from all majors are encouraged to join HC Hofstra. If you have a passion for writing, there is a place for you here!  Being a part of the #1 new-media brand for college girls, built and run entirely by women has been everything I had hoped for.

If you are considering joining Her Campus Hofstra I encourage you one thousand times to do so. HC Hofstra is a fantastic platform for making connections, gaining experience and diving into your career. You will become a member of a great group of inspiring, strong, fun women who you will look forward to seeing in and out of HC events.

Taylor is a Junior at Hofstra University, majoring in Journalism and double minoring in English and Political Science. Hofstra is the third college she has attended and she plans on it being her last! She is a self-proclaimed cupcake connoisseur and Netflix enthusiast. She can often be found in a mountain of pillows, sipping hot tea or obsessing over how cute her dog is. If she isn't cocooned in blankets, she is probably at the softball field or sitting on a beach somewhere. Taylor is an aspiring writer and editor, and although she isn't exactly sure where she will be after college she hopes to one day work for a magazine and publish children's books.
Coming from a small town in Connecticut, Hailey is a recent graduate of Hofstra University. She spent her time in school working as the Campus Correspondent for the Hofstra chapter of Her Campus where she led the chapter to a pink level status every semester she oversaw the chapter. She also served as the Personnel Director for Marconi Award Winning station WRHU-FM. While holding multiple positions at Hofstra, she was a communications intern at Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment, the company that oversees Barclays Center and Nassau Veteran's Memorial Coliseum.
