Now that Thanksgiving is over, it is officially the start of Christmas! We’ve seen the movies and pictures of the lights, snow and bustling streets of NYC during Christmas, but have you ever been? It is truly magical! Whether it is at night or during the day, there are tons of activities you can do. If you live in NYC or will be stopping by on a trip, make sure to visit all these places!
Union Square Holiday Market
The Union Square Holiday Market is an outdoor market that takes place at Union Square. Various local artists and craftsmen set up their shops and sell their unique pieces. It is super adorable and you will have tons of fun looking at handmade gifts or trying the fresh, warm snacks!
Horse Carriage Ride in Central Park
It can’t get anymore fairytale than being in a horse carriage! Add a blanket and some hot chocolate and snuggle up!
The New York Palace Hotel
Sound familiar? I’m sure you will recognize this place from Gossip Girl. The tree you see when you enter the hotel is absolutely breathtaking!
Central Park
Sometimes strolling through the snow holding hands is all you need. The bridge, the frozen pond and bare trees make for a scenic walk through Central Park. There is also the Wollman Rink where you can ice skate!
Radio City Music Hall
How can you miss the iconic The Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes? They perform an amazing show each year and although tickets can be pricey, there are other various performances to see that might be within your budget! Also check out an on or off Broadway show, concert at Carnegie Hall or opera at the Met.
Serendipity
This is honestly the cutest dessert restaurant ever. Grab a friend and try their frozen hot chocolate. You heard me, FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE!
Battery Park at Night
Nothing beats NYC at night; I mean that is when the city is at its best. Times Square can get really busy so try spending a nice night with your significant other at Battery Park!
Rockefeller Center
I saved the best for last. When anyone thinks of NYC at Christmas, the giant Rockefeller Center Christmas tree comes to mind! This is the prime Christmas spot and is a must see if you visit the city during the holiday season. Make sure to take cute photo!
