Although exams are probably on your mind right now, finals mean winter break is right around the corner! That means a full month of freedom to plan adventures and have fun. Here are some ideas to help you get your winter break bucket list started.
Â
Build a Snowman
If you’re returning home to a place with snow, it seems only right to build a snowman. Who doesn’t love bundling up, playing out in the snow, and then heading inside for some hot cocoa?
Â
Build a Fort and Have a Massive Snowball Fight
Gather all of your friends and head to your local park. Split into teams and take some time to build forts before having a massive snowball fight. The more people involved the better!
Â
Make Sugar Cookies
One of my personal favorite things to do during the holiday season is bake. For the past few years, I’ve gotten together with friends or family and made sugar cookies that we all decorated together. Blast some holiday tunes to help you get into the holiday spirit… and then enjoy your delicious treats!
Â
Have a S’mores Night
Break out the marshmallows and get toasting. Whether you use your fireplace or kitchen stove, making s’mores by the fire is one of the best things to do during the Winter. Pair it with some hot chocolate, put on a movie and you’re set for a cozy night.
Â
Skiing/Snowboarding
If you have the opportunity, head to the mountains and hit the slopes. Don’t worry if you’ve never gone skiing or snowboarding before, take the opportunity to try something new. If you don’t want to do either activity, go snowtubing. It’s a lot of fun and you’ll have a lot of laughs.
Â
Ice Skating
This is for sure a classic winter activity. Head to the rink with some friends and family and enjoy gliding along the ice (especially after it’s just been cleaned by the zamboni).
Â
Sleep
After finals are over and you don’t have to worry about school anymore, be sure to relish being able to sleep in. There’s nothing better than staying cozy in bed on a cold morning. You can finally catch up on the sleep you’ve missed out on during the semester!
Â
Most importantly, have fun and enjoy your time with family and friends. Have a great holiday season and winter break!
