Me:What is you astrological sign?
Me:Of course a fabulously entertaining LEO!
Â
Me:What is your major here at Hollins?
Me:I am an Economics major and an International Business minor.
Â
Me:What do you want to do with your major?
Me:I would like to trade securities for a multinational firm or be an actual trader on the floor.   (i.e. Wall Street, UBS trade floor)
Â
Me:What do you enjoy most about your major at Hollins?
Me:The fact that all of my professors in the department are international, Casimir Dadak is from Poland, Juergen Fleck is from Germany, and Pablo Hernandez is from Mexico. Not only am I learning about America and its economic standards and policies, but I also get a great insight of global aspects. Also, it is a major that is highly beneficial considering the monetary and economic state our country is in right now.
Me:What is it that drew you to the Economics Department?
Me:We had a professor here by the name of Drucilla Barker, she was a joint professor of Economics and Women’s Studies and she inspired me to double major in the two topics. However, once she left I began to become more attached to the Economics point of view and decided to devote all of my time to that major. Once, I began engaging more in reading outside magazines and other sources, I knew Economics/Business was for me. In addition, it’s such a broad and universal subject, so I could take my education anywhere!
Â
Me:What is your favorite thing about Hollins?
Me:The sisterhood here is absolutely amazing, including the faculty and staff. During the period I had gotten sick I received many cards and phone calls; even a hospital visit from students. I love my school!
