On Thursday, the first year seminar classes gathered together in the VAC auditorium for the First Year Extravaganza–a chance for the seminars to show off some of what they’ve learned during the semester. The extravaganza featured presentations and exhibits, from a news show parody from the How to Watch TV class, to istagram collages from From Pinhole to Smartphone. I was lucky enough to be a part of the Women/Bodies/Voices seminar, and participate in our class skit: a dating show featuring our class dressed up as the women of power who we’d done our projects on.Â
Christina Canuto and I couldn’t help but pose for classy and sassy pictures dressed up as Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel. I gathered my Chanel costume from borrowing formal pieces from my friends’ closets, while Christina pulled together her outfit by buying pieces from Goodwill creating the perfect Audrey outfit. The skit and our costumes both came together wonderfully.
