1. Getting 10 plates of food at Kimball I’m not saying that guys eat a lot more than girls do. Instead, they tend to bring back multiple plates of food to the table at one meal. While I think it’s pretty normal to get all of my food on one or two plates, I’ve observed that many guys will eat about half of five different plates of food. Talk about waste! It’s like they take pride in carrying a huge stack of plates after their meal.
2. Hitting us up on a Friday night but not saying hello to you around campusWe’ve all been there; a guy you’ve been talking to will eagerly ask you out on the weekend but hesitates to make contact in passing you on your way to class or in Kimball. Are they just too tall to see us or are they at a loss for what to say? Guys: a simple “hey, how’s it going?” is a lot better than that lame nod and smile thing. Girls: don’t be afraid to be the first one to say hi, maybe all he needs is for you to make the first move.
3. Wearing shorts in the winterWhy? How? Do you think it’s more attractive? We all have a lot of questions about this. Are pants really that bad?
4. LaundryOne male friend I know (who will remain nameless) has four laundry baskets. FOUR! It seems as though some guys will wait until they have exhausted every pair of socks and underwear before they even think about doing laundry. While I admit that I also wait until I am panty-less to do laundry, I am talking about the extreme cases here. I’m talking about guys who will wear smelly shirts instead of walking downstairs to do a load of laundry!
5. Going to the gym for 4 hours to lift weightsI really want to know how some of these guys find the time in their days to spend 4 hours lifting weights at Hart. When I go to the gym, it’s straight and to the point: get my cardio in and do some conditioning for an hour tops. When I’m there doing my own thing, I can’t help but notice the many guys standing around and walking from one weight machine to another. They’re in absolutely no rush…I guess sculpting muscles is something you can’t hurry.
