Who said that a girl can’t look cute in below freezing weather? Challenge accepted, HC. Here’s a few tips that will keep you warm and on top of your fashion game.
- BootiesThe perfect compromise for staying cute and keeping the tootsies warm (especially in the snow)! Who said cold weather meant gross footwear? Toss on a pair of heeled booties and hit the town.
- JacketsBring a jacket that you won’t mind getting spilled or stepped on. Invest in a non-expensive but warm piece of outerwear to wear off the hill that won’t devastate you if it gets lost.
- No ExtrasLeave the valuables at home! Bring your money and ID if you’re going to the club but otherwise leave the wallet at home.
- Cross-body bagA small cross body or shoulder bag is great to bring your money, phone, and ID to Leitrim’s or Mahoney’s. If you’re planning on dancing (why wouldn’t you??), a small bag will keep your arms free! AND, if you’re going to an off campus house, you can stash your phone, lip gloss, and breath mints in your coat pocket to save you the stress of carrying around a bag.
- Skirt/PantsYou can still get away with a skirt if your legs can bear the cold, but not for too much longer; so make the most of it! The days of staying warm in a strapless bodycon are long gone; so if you want to show your legs, pair a long sleeve crop top with a skirt! You can also be comfortable in a long-sleeve dress. If it’s too cold for a skirt, try leggings with leather accents, colored pants, or coated jeans! Try to mix it up; you’re gonna get tired of wearing jeans out every weekend!
- AccessoriesDon’t forget to accessorize! A bold lip stain is sure to heat up any cold night. Bracelets, statement necklaces, rings, earrings, galore! Turn your drab winter garb into fab with some dazzling jewels.
