It’s that time of year again when every college girl starts to madly plan her Halloween costumes. That’s right. Costumes. Plural. It’s hard enough to come up with one cute costume, never mind one for each night of Halloween festivities on the Hill or in Wootown. So if you’re starting to fret about what to be and desperately want to avoid cliché costumes, here are some ideas you’ll barely have to look outside of your closet for (which will save you some cash for an extra pumpkin spice latte later on. Bonus!)
- Gwen StefaniChannel Gwen’s iconic ‘90s grunge pop look by grabbing a white tank and cutting it into a crop top. Stencil on “GWEN” with a black sharpie and throw it on over a red bra. Throw on some low slung pants (the funkier the better) and a chunky belt. Lace up a pair of Doc Martens or other combat boots and tie your hair into one her many fun hairstyles. Swipe on some of her signature bright lipstick and you’ll be ready to go!
- Wednesday AddamsIt’s so easy to get our favorite Addams child’s look. Simply wear a black bodycon (sleeves or no sleeves – it’s up to you), add a white Peter Pan collar, a cross necklace, some black tights and a pair of black combat boots. That’s it, now just braid some pigtails and put on a glum, serious glare and go be the best Wednesday you can be!
- A Piñata – Olé!This simple party pleaser requires only three things: Any color bodycon (the brighter the better), a TON of multicolored sticky notes, and a fun party hat. Simply have some help you cover your bodycon in a rainbow of sticky notes and throw on your party hat to instantly become the life of the party! Just avoid anyone wielding a bat and you’ll have a fantastic night.
- Minnie MouseOh Minnie – so classic, so cute, and oh so easy. Just wear a black crop top or tank, a red skirt with some fun polka dots, flats with frilly white socks and a pair of mouse ears. Voila!
- Regina GeorgeRegina, such a boss that she even wears tank tops with holes on the boobs. If you’re in a pinch and need a quick and easy costume just follow her lead and cut some conspicuously placed holes into a white tank top. Wear it over a purple bra and black mini skirt and bam! You’re instantly the Queen of Mean.
