Sure I was excited to return home this Thanksgiving break to enjoy time with my family and friends but secretly I was most excited for something else revolving around my favorite singer Harry Styles. On Black Friday I visited the Pleasing pop-up shop in Soho.
Pleasing is Harry Styles’ beauty and clothing brand that he founded in 2021. He first launched his nail polish collection, which was one of the first nail polishes to be almost fully biodegradable. Since then the brand has taken off and has collaborated with designer Marco Ribeiro and even featured Mick Fleetwood in a campaign.
I was blown away by the Soho location last year, so It was definitely a priority to visit again this time around. Lucky for me American Express card holders get to enter the store at 10am, for everyone else the pop-up shop opens at 11am. There are also an additional two locations in LA and London. The NYC store is open 10am/11am-7pm, at 61 Crosby Street. I chose to go on Black Friday because they were hosting the only sale they’ll have for the year, which included 30% off all beauty products.
I ended up buying an exclusive in-store red crewneck, a journal and of course a tote bag. I also bought my best friend some Christmas gifts. Additionally I received a free nail polish, which came with nail stickers and a lap-top sticker.
The store itself was magical. It’s like you’re entering a new world when you step in. From the fountain in the middle, to the beautiful mirrors, the store is impeccably decorated and perfect for photo opts. The staff couldn’t have been nicer too, I even recognized some of them from last year. In the store I got to smell all three of the new fragrances, which are a part of the collaboration with the fragrance house Robertet. The scent ‘Rivulets’ is definitely my favorite and will be my next investment. I also got to test some other products, like the hand lotion.
If you’re close to any of these locations and are obsessed with Harry Styles, I highly recommend stopping by. It’s highly beneficial to visit the store as opposed to shopping online, to really see what’s worth your money. Run, don’t walk to the Pleasing pop-ups while the stores still have inventory, and happy shopping!
