After completely using up my favorite lip oil, I decided to try a new lippie. After asking my sister and friends for their recommendations I decided on the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in the shade sheer beige. I bought it at my local Sephora for $24. After using it for about two weeks, here are my thoughts.
If you’re looking for non-sticky, nude lip color, this is a great choice. The butter balm lives up to its name, with smooth application aided by the molded tip. The color is a nice light sheer brown, which gives a natural, barely there look and a light vanilla scent and flavor when applied. I also don’t have to reapply too frequently. Especially since the formula holds up well even when eating or drinking.
I only have one minor complaint about the lip butter as a whole. One, I wish it was more hydrating. That’s not to say I find the butter drying in any way, it just doesn’t have the added hydration I was looking for.
All in all, if you’re looking for a new sheer lippie that is long lasting and the perfect fall color, the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in Sheer Beige is a perfect choice.
