It’s that time of year again. The temperature is dropping, the leaves are falling, and department stores are setting out Halloween decorations. It’s fall–one of my favorite seasons. I love fall for many reasons: the crisp breezes, the calm earth tones and, best of all, the stylish wardrobe.

Fall is the perfect balance between hot and cold. Incredibly, fall manages to find harmony amongst the thin line of warm and chill, which allows for the perfect range of wardrobe choices. Some days are best for mini corduroy skirts or quarter sleeve shirts while other days call for max layering of turtlenecks, cardigans, and scarves. So when fall outfit combinations are endless, you must be sure that the color range of your fall wardrobe is endless too! Before you buy another mustard yellow, olive green, or red wine colored garment, consider adding these new shades to your closet:

Try slate blue. Naturally, blue is an earth tone, so it falls right in line with fall colors. I’d consider this blue deeper than most yet still neutral, so it would look best with all skin undertones. This blue pairs great as a top or bottom, and there are many fun colors to combine with this shade too. If you’re looking to go bright and create a color block pattern, this color goes perfect with the red, pink and orange family range. You could also let your new fall aesthetic speak for itself and rock this hue with the simple browns, greys, blacks and whites.

Peachy pink is definitely a must have for all the “girly girls” out there. This color is soft, dainty, and sweet. If you’re a jewelry lover, this color is beautifully accented by gold, silver, and especially pearls. This color also compliments patterns of all sorts whether that be houndstooths or specific plaids. A sweet peachy pink allows rest from deep hued fall colors and provides a sweet refreshing versatility to any outfit.

For the royalty color lovers, try sweet iris. Sweet iris has a purple hue that casts a subtle energy of confidence, extravagance, and mystery. You could not go wrong with this color. Whether you wear it as a top or bottom, this garment stands out alone. Compliment a sweet iris garment with browns, greys, blacks or whites for elegant simplicity, or dress this color up with gold accents for a more formal look.

Step outside your comfort zone. Take a risk this fall by adding one of these colors to your wardrobe.

What are you waiting for? Your next look awaits!
