Beyonce’s Ivy Park & Adidas Collection

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Howard chapter.

This month, the fashion world came to a screeching halt with the release of Beyonce’s collaboration with Adidas. Working with her athleisure company Ivy Park, Beyonce and Adidas formulated one of the most talked about collections of the year. With bright, neon oranges, soft burgundy, and white, the release of Ivy Park X Adidas has had the world buzzing about the style, uniqueness, and creativity of the fashion collection. Keeping true to her mysterious and poised nature, Beyonce did not reveal much about the collection until the days leading up to its release, announcing the partnership with a video on Instagram.

At first it may seem that the Ivy Park and Adidas collab is just another celebrity created brand working with a big name corporation. However, the publicity and excitement surrounding this collection is unlike any other. Starting with an encounter at this year’s Golden Globes, Beyonce and Reese Witherspoon’s friendship skyrocketed with the delivery of an Ivy Park X Adidas promotional box. This delivery to Reese opened up a floodgate of more celebrities receiving neon orange boxes as well. From Yara Shahidi to Ellen Degenres, social media platforms were taken over by celebrities showing off the newest additions to their closet thanks to the Queen Bey, and those humorously creating parodies of opening a box as well.

The Ivy Park and Adidas collection is noteworthy, not only in its packaging and promotion, but in the clothes itself. Not only are the designs comfortable, they’re also gender inclusive, allowing both men and women to wear Beyonce’s masterpieces. Each and every piece of Ivy Park X Adidas is capable of being worn by anybody and is accepting of many body types. Allowing customers to choose from clothes that aren’t specified for one type of person is what makes the Ivy Park X Adidas collaboration so popular. Beyonce has definitely struck gold again with the launch of this once in a generation, unique collection.
