In the first week of every year, most people start to think of what they can do to make the upcoming year better than the one before. Sometimes, people even see reoccurring New Year’s resolutions on their list. Think of the one or multiple things that continue to show up on your resolutions list and keep them in mind as you read. I’m sharing my found secrets to how I get these resolutions to be part of my routine effortlessly. We are having a successful year and beyond, here’s how.

Defeat our #1 enemy: Procrastination is one of our biggest enemies today. It stops us from completing an assignment, starting something new, keeping your room clean, sometimes getting your day started, etc. By choosing to get rid of the phrase, “I’ll do it later,” you can accomplish so much in your day. This year leaving procrastination in 2022 will completely change how your 2023 and years beyond go.

Try the thing you’ve been wanting to try: What’s stopping you? Maybe it’s our big enemy procrastination or a valid reason, but if you truly take a second and you realize nothing is stopping you, do it. Take a chance, maybe you love it, maybe you hate it, but at least you can say that you’ve tried it. Trying new things despite fear or procrastination, can build your character. Plus, who knows, it might be the best thing you’ve ever done for yourself.

Make a plan: Having a plan of attack for the week makes a difference in how productive you can be. By breaking down what you need to do and taking on bite size tasks, one at a time, you are more likely to get things done. Psychology says that your brain loves when you complete something from your checklist and that’s why it is the most effective way to complete tasks.

So, defeat our #1 enemy, try the thing you’ve been wanting to try, and make a plan. These are three things that I truly believe will make a difference in your year because they are already making a difference in mine. Start some habits using these tips to better your 2023 and the years that come after this one.
