It’s just about time for finals week here at Hawaii Pacific University. We all know Hawaii as the place to go to relax, tan and enjoy the nice island weather, but not this time of year! To combat the stress of finals week, here are some things that will help.
Snacks on snacks on snacks
It’s super hard to stay focused when you’re hungry. Stock up on easy-to-eat snacks to keep your mind and body fueled up and ready to study! My personal favorites are blueberries, baby carrots, almonds, and granola. They’re easy to carry around and fun to eat.
Energy draaanks
If studying puts you to sleep, it never hurts to cheat and have a little caffeine to boost your energy. I’ve been obsessed with the new Monster Energy: Pipeline Punch lately, which is an energy drink inspired by Hawaii’s blend of passion fruit, orange, and guava (POG).
Moral support
Don’t let finals make you feel overwhelmed. Call up your friends and host a girl’s night to destress your mind and set you back on track! Finals week doesn’t have to be depressing and you aren’t alone when it comes to needing moral support.
Study buddies
If you’re having trouble understanding hard subjects like accounting or chemistry, find yourself someone to study with. Study buddies include classmates, tutors, friends and even your professors. Trust me, you will understand the material so much better when you can ask questions and get real-life responses!
Comfy cuddly clothes
Break out your comfiest pair of sweats and oversized hoodies because it’s about to get cold in the learning commons! We all know how cold it can get when you’re sitting indoors in an air-conditioned room all day. Make sure to snuggle up in comfortable clothes while you study so you can focus on that psychology paper you’ve been writing all day.
