MQ: What quote do you live by and why?
“It’s not about the roses, it’s about the soup.” Our coach uses this to motivate us throughout the season.
MQ: Where do you see yourself in 10-20 years?
I hope I’ll be a doctor, and I’ll definitely have a rescue dog, a big one. Â
MQ: If you could spend the day with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Stephen Hawking.
MQ: If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?
Sydney, Australia. I’ve never been, but it’s really high on my bucket list.
MQ: What is something most people on campus don’t know about you?
My grandfather played Volleyball in the 1976 Olympics.
MQ: Do you have a story that you’d care to share with us all?
I am passionate about learning different languages. I speak fluent French, and am pursuing a Spanish minor in order to learn the language. I spent my spring break in in Miami with my roommate, Travis. One day we took an Uber to go get food, and the driver did not speak English. We were on our way somewhere that we saw online, but I tried to use my Spanish to try to see if the driver recommended a better place to go eat. I thought the conversation went really well. The driver ended up dropping us off in a very sketchy area in the middle of Miami. Travis started to yell at me for trying to be the big shot hero. I was really disappointed because my Spanish skills didn’t really help us. It ended up being okay because we walked a block and ended up eating delicious food at a random restaurant.
MQ: How do you feel about being nominated as a Campus Cutie?
I’m honored.
MQ: What would you like to be remembered for?
I’d like to be remembered for making a difference.
