HC: How do you feel about being nominated as Campus Cutie?
HL: It’s an extreme honor. Everyone knows the names: Cotnam, Sylvan, Kuncio, and May. Just to be mentioned within the same sentence as them… words don’t do it justice.
HC: What do you look for in a girl?
HL: Down to earth, relatable, tolerant of my dry sense of humor
HC: What’s your idea of the perfect date in Geneva?
HL: A fine dinner at the Ponderosa Steakhouse, followed by squirrel watching in the quad. I don’t anticipate that not being enough but if some other activity was needed maybe build a fort? Everyone no matter their age likes building forts.
HC: What’s the worst date you’ve ever been on?
HL: It wasn’t necessarily a date but the first time my girlfriend ever came over my family and I were all sitting in the living room watching a movie and my brother flatuated quite loudly. Olivia politely pretended not to hear it, but it was of no use as he turned around and said “Did you hear that??”
HC: What’s something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
HL: I’m actually a better hockey player than my brother, I just felt bad for him so I stopped playing.
HC: Who is your role model? Why?
HL: All jokes aside, I would actually have to say I look up to my younger brother (Griff) a lot too. He is very driven and focused yet still actively makes the time to engage with the people closest to him. Â
HC: Is there anything on your bucket list?
HL: Travel to all seven continents. Probably a little cliché but go skydiving too.
HC: What do you want to be remembered for at HWS?
HL: I would like to be remembered as a guy who was a friend to everybody.
HC: What advice you have for first year students?
HL: Get involved with something that may be outside of your comfort zone and always wear flip flops in the shower.
HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
HL: Definitely in Canada. Doing what? Not too sure.
