Hobart and William Smith’s Campus Cutie of the week is James Monaco! James is currently a sophomore at HWS. He is am engineering and chemistry double major. You will often catch him in the library helping his fellow chemistry students with anything from basics in inorganic to organic to physical chemistry. MQ: Where do you see yourself in 10-20 years?
JM: I will be an engineer with a lot of new hobbies, and I will have my own metal shop in my basement. I will own my own boat and a cabin somewhere.
MQ: If you could spend the day with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
JM: My girlfriend because she lives in Boston, as she goes to Graduate School at Tufts University.
MQ: If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?
JM: Germany, if I spoke German.
MQ: What is something most people on campus don’t know about you?
JM: I make knifes as a hobby.
MQ: Do you have a story that you’d care to share with us all?
JM: I went on a five-day solo hike on the Appalachian trail and talked with myself most of the way.
MQ: How do you feel about being nominated as a Campus Cutie?
JM: I am so flattered. I am humbled, but not humbled, because I am pretty cute.
MQ: What would you like to be remembered for?
JM: Publishing some important science work that is humanitarian-based, or building something that impacts people’s lives.
