HC: How do you feeling about being nominated as Campus Cutie?
JS: It’s a very nice compliment. I’m happy someone thinks I’m cute!!
HC: What do you look for in a guy?
JS: I like someone who is kind of awkward like me, as well as nice and smart.
HC: What is your idea of the perfect date in Geneva, New York?
JS: This is lame, but I really want to go snowshoeing and drink hot chocolate!
HC: Do you have any hidden talents?
JS: I can fall asleep anywhere. One time I fell asleep standing up in the middle of the desert.
HC: If you could travel to any part of the world where would it be?
JS: I really want to go scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
HC: Do you have a motto you live by?
JS: “Never stop climbing” — I got this quote from a 150-mile bike ride I do with my dad every year.
HC: What’s your most embarrassing moment?
JS: When I was a little kid I was playing center field on the T-Ball team. It was really cold and the bathroom was so far away. I got nervous about having to go and ended up peeing my pants. I started crying and made my parents take me home. Everyone on the team was told to never mention the incident, so I thought no one had noticed…until a few years later when the truth came out and they all told me they knew.
HC: If you were to be stuck on an island whom would you want there with you?
JS: My sister Megan; she’s my person.
HC: What do you like most about HWS?
JS: I really like how pretty campus is in the fall.
HC: What do you like best about being on the crew team?
JS: I love being able to workout everyday with my friends who push you to be your best everyday. Crew is a really unique sport because it feels like you are connected as one in the boat, flying on top of the water.
HC: What do you want to be remembered for at HWS?
JS: For being a hard working and dedicated member on the crew team
