“When I did my overnight at HWS I was supposed to meet with Prof Magee. We didn’t know where we were going so we were just running down Pultney. This guy stops us and asks where we are going. We say we are meeting with Prof. Magee (but we pronounced his name wrong). The guy says, ‘oh, no it’s pronounced Magee. I have heard that guy is such an ass.’ I’m just standing there a little freaked out. Then, the guy says, ‘By the way, I’m Professor Magee.’ We were supposed to be meeting for environmental studies, but by the end of the meeting he was teaching me Chinese. And that is how I decided I was coming to HWS.”
