Everyone loves watching Halloween movies. It’s kind of a tradition for me at least, where I watch the same Halloween movies every year. Grab your girls, have a night in, and watch the 10 best Halloween movies. I guarantee it will be a spooky good time!

1. Halloweentown

This is a classic Disney Original Halloween movie. Would your Halloween be complete without watching this? Who doesn’t love this series about a teenage girl finding out she is a witch? Not to mention how much we hate Kalabar. All of them were good, but the last one, don’t @ me. How are you going to switch the main character and act like we won’t notice? Not cool.

2. Hocus Pocus

The OG of Halloween movies wouldn’t be complete without the Sanderson sisters! We love a spooky movie that makes you bite your fingernails and still gets you at the edge of your seat, even after the 20th time watching it. Still to this day, I get freaked out by those witches, but I always thought Max was cute so that’s a bonus.

3. Twitches

What’s better than Tia and Tamara Mowry? Twitches that’s what! This is one of my all-time favorite movies ever. I love that they were separated at birth and they find their birth mother and they defeat the “darkness”. Or they thought they did. Both movies were good, but honestly it’s so heartwarming and a thriller! Highly recommend adding it to the list this season.

4. Under Wraps

Such a good sappy kid’s movie that I still love. Three kids come across a mummy and accidently let him loose. If they don’t return him in time, he could turn to dust and not be reunited with his long-lost love. A really good movie to watch even though it’s a little cringy because it takes you back to the old days when Disney Channel was good.

5. Mostly Ghostly

Oh Max, how we love you. Max encounters ghosts living in his basement that only he can see. The whole movie has a bunch of twists and turns, but it really is a good watch and I still love watching it. Definitely gets you in the Halloween mood.

6. Halloween

Oh Michael Myers, how you still continue to scare the shit out of me! I have yet to watch this movie with my eyes completely open… call me a baby, but it’s scary. I like horror movies with the lights on and only during the day. This movie is a classic serial killer movie based in Illinois; now do you see why I get scared? But it’s still a classic and if you’re into that stuff, then this is the perfect movie for you.

7. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Contrary to what the title says, it’s based on Halloween. As they live in Halloween town, Jack (the pumpkin king) discovers Christmas town and wants to bring Christmas to his town, making it the best of both worlds in one movie. All hail the pumpkin king and his iconic song, “This is Halloween”. If you haven’t seen this movie, you’re really missing out. Kind of a weird movie, but in a good way. 11/10 would recommend.

8. Casper Meets Wendy

Okay, I like this movie better than the original Casper because I love Hillary Duff. But honestly, this is such a cute children’s movie and yes, I still watch it today and I’m in college, but you can’t deny a good movie when you see one. Man, I miss the days when there were actually good kids’ movies.

9. Jeepers Creppers

Definitely gives me the creepers, and I still don’t know exactly what the “jeepers creepers” is. All I know is that he likes to eat people. I think the first one was the most thriller. It was based off of a brother and sister and basically their hunt for survival and not trying to get eaten by this creature. Now if you really want to get in the spirit, watch this because you won’t regret it.

10. The Haunted Mansion

Eddie Murphy definitely makes this movie worth watching! A relator and his family are summoned to a mansion, later to find out it’s haunted. It’s not so much scary as it is funny. I feel like it’s predictable, but what’s better than Eddie Murphy’s facial expressions?

I hope you enjoy all these movies on this list, maybe even reminisce back to you childhood days! The countdown to Halloween starts now, so get your popcorn and watch all the spooky movies you can!

Lots of love, Lacey
