Every girl is guilty of saying at some point “I have nothing to wear,” but you can almost guarantee that if you go into their closet, you will find rack full of clothes. Saying one has nothing to wear really refers to being bored of wearing the same pieces over and over again. Everyone has their own unique style when it comes to fashion and what can be found in a girl’s closet. The variety can range from someone’s taste in style, body style and age. But there are always a few must-have pieces every girl should have in their closet.
A good pair of jeans
Ladies, I’m not talking about your pair of jeggings. It is a great idea to have one pair of good quality jeans that won’t wear out. Jeans are great to pair with just about anything during any season so it is not a bad idea to invest in at least one good pair to stick with you for a while.
A cardigan/sweater
You should have at least one good cardigan or sweater in your closet in a neutral color. That way, you can pair it with almost anything else you have in your closet. Cardigans go great with jeans, leggings, riding boots, and dressy or casual tops. Cardigans are great for business causal settings as well. Winning all around if you ask me.
Black or nude heels
Every girl deserves a good pair of heels — and a pair of simple black or nude heels is a must-have! Neutral color heels are sure to go with any outfit for a night out with the girls, a special event, or business casual and business professional.
Blazer
Blazers are thought to only be for professional purposes but blazers come in all styles and colors these days, and can also be paired with a cute shirt and jeans for a casual but put-together look. It is a great idea to have at least one blazer for occasions that call for you to dress a little more serious.
Little black dress
You’ve heard the phrase “every girl needs a little black dress” and it’s true. Having at least one simple black dress is a must. Black dresses are great for any occasion; serious or fun. Wear a cute black cocktail dress for parties and events or wear a simple black dress for a business setting or more serious setting. Black dresses can be paired with touches of color so not to come off as too plain.
Statement necklace
Statement necklaces… well, make a statement. If you find yourself to be one of those people who have all neutral colors in their closet without realizing it, a chunky necklace is a great accessory to add to any outfit to add a pop of color or texture. Sometimes a necklace pulls together the whole outfit.
