If you’re hooked on Outer Banks, whether it was from watching during quarantine (like me) or anytime over the summer after it premiered in April, then you’re honestly probably SO ready for season 2 to come out already! As Netflix users, we know that many, if not all, of the Netflix shows and/or movies end abruptly when we’re hooked early on, and we also feel as if as though a piece of us is gone when we finish watching them. Luckily for Outer Banks fans, sources say that the popular cast has been filming season 2 since August 31 and they have been on the search for other people to play appropriate roles in the tv series. Expect the second season to be one for the books, since the airing will be coming out sooner or later- but hopefully sooner!!
Thanks to info from websites such as What’s on Netflix, Elle, Forbes, and many others, we know that all of the main stars are currently back filming and making new memories together as a tight cast (masked and socially distanced, of course). The on-screen dynamics between the cast members has been extremely fun to watch, especially through other types of posted videos showing them filming playful Blooper scenes. Those dedicated viewers who’ve been following along with the casts’ relationships that have quickly developed from outside of the show can agree that they all seem as if they’re bestfriends with each other. Everyone’s been raving over Chase Stokes (John B) and Madelyn Cline (Sarah Cameron) since they were adorable acting and now they’ve been dating for a couple of months in real life, aka known as the cutest, most spirited couple! Besides them as a couple, the other cast members have also been a huge part of viewers’ special interests while watching each episode of season 1 unfold before everyone’s eyes. It will be very enjoyable to see them live in action back together to continue on from where they left off, and left our jaws dropping as the emotions hit all at once. To recap what had already happened, the main plot finale for season 1 was when Sarah and John B leave the island to find the stolen gold that John B had already found and they end up making it out alive through a rough storm that could’ve easily taken them out. They left the Pogues (their bffs- Kiera, Pope, and JJ) behind, not knowing if John B or Sarah even made it out alive, along with Sarah’s dad and rest of the town who were on the look out for them. There have been endless wonderings about what season 2 will look like, but guess we’ll just have to wait to see and keep an eye out for the much anticipated release date!
