The Cubs have been gaining huge popularity with their performance during the post-season thus far. Whether you’re a lifelong die hard fan, or just bandwagon-ing it for fun, there is no doubt that they’re playing and looking better than ever. Despite their young, vibrant talent that keeps us hooked to the game, it’s no doubt that this team has something else we can’t keep our eyes off of. With looks like theirs, it’s hard not to crush on the Cubs, who are the baseball eye candy of the century. Here are the players that we can’t help but crush on:
1. Javier Baez
I mean, come on. Besides his organic Puerto Rican accent and his dear passion for Baseball, what’s not to adore about this man? He is intense, focused, and driven. He loves his family just as much as he loves the game, and it’s safe to say that this MVP has stolen our hearts.
2. Addison Russell
The American Dream of Baseball players. He dances in the dugout, which reminds me of Will Smith in a weird way. When you realize he’s 22 with a World Series grand slam… making and breaking World Series RBI records, he just becomes that much more dangerously dreamy.
3. Ben Zobrist
At 35-years-old, Ben Zobrist makes us all melt by being the baseball player, father, and husband that he is. The faith that he has in all things is inspiring, and attractive to say the least. Having him in Cubbie blue is nothing short of a dream come true.
4. Anthony Rizzo
Have you heard him sing and play piano, because yeah, he does that too when he’s not fighting for cancer and building his own foundation for it. Aside from his odd batting stance, it seems that just about everything that this man does is quite all right with me.
5. Jorge Soler
And yet another loving husband and father that we can’t get enough of. Is it natural for a baby to be THAT cute? His confidence is a key to why he’s so irresistible and his “Soler Power” cannot be denied.
6. Kris Bryant
Possibly the Zac Efron of baseball? This man has every girl googly eyed over everything he does. He hits a homerun? Might as well just give us all a heart attack. That smile. Those eyes. The way he and Rizzo bro out together. Have you seen him in a suit?
7. Jake Arrieta
His beard is definitively the 8th wonder of the world. There’s something about this pitcher that is mesmerizing. When he strikes people out, it’s as if cupid has just struck me with an arrow. How can you not adore a man this tall, dark, and handsome?
Thank you, Chicago, for a baseball team that fills our hearts with joy and eyes with awe. We love to love them and can’t help but crush on these studs. Tonight while they attempt to make history in game 7 of the series, we will be cheering them on. Go Cubs, GO!
