1. Business Major
First of all, a round of applause goes out to you all for being good at math. Also, you can really pull off a suit/business outfit. You’re trying to earn big bucks in your future and you can be very persuasive. The COB is your second home and staying up till 4 A.M. to study for accounting is a casual Sunday night for you. You are very driven and work extremely hard to succeed. You are excited to get your first big job and are confident when saying The Wolf of Wall Street is one of your favorite movies.
2. Education
Well, more than half of the school will be able to relate to this post but there is nothing wrong with that. You definitely have a lot of patience and a creative mind. You love kids or would love to coach a high school team one day. Early clinicals and lesson plans are rough, but you do them with passion. Never having Friday classes is always a plus, but you are always preparing yourself for student teaching when you’ll have to wake up at 6 A.M. (or earlier) everyday. You are very caring, super organized, love to give back, and can’t wait to have your own classroom one day.
3. Communication
Now this one varies in majors, but there are many things that all Communication students can relate to. You are used to all your COM teachers starting with ice breakers and having to go in front of the classroom to share about yourself. You spend a lot of your time in the computer lab writing research papers, working on EZ-News, or any other tedious projects. You are always on your phone, bouncing back and forth on Social Media sites. Living in the city is the dream and contrary to popular belief, you’re excited to be in the real world. Coffee is definitely your best friend and deadlines are always on your mind.
4. Nursing
Nursing school causes many sleepless nights, endless care plans, and not to mention getting up to drive an hour to clinical at 4 A.M. After suffering your way through all of this, they throw the NCLEX exam at you, which is one of the scariest tests you will ever take. However, the first time you put a smile on a patients face, you will know why you are putting up with the blood, sweat, and tears of nursing school. Also, you’ve seen all the seasons of Grey’s Anatomy at least 10 times.
5. Fashion Merchandising
If you are in this major, you definitely have a creative mind, and a stellar sense of style, of course. If you’re not creating window displays in Turner, you are either blogging about the latest trends or searching for a summer internship in the city. You get frustrated when people say it’s an easy major, because it’s far from that. You have math and economic classes, and you have to get a 94% in the class to get an A. You always look the best in your classes because you take the time to get ready and put an outfit together. The Devil Wears Prada is one of your favorite movies and Pinterest is your best friend.
