Introducing Neil Dale: Computer systems major, 20 years old from Gurnee, Ill. and absolutely single ladies. Not only is he involved on campus and super into fitness and an overall great guy, but he and Ryan Gosling have more in common than we think! I got the opportunity to sit down and boy, did he have me laughing. This campus cutie is quite the catch!
HerCampus ISU: Tell us about yourself
Neil Dale: Well, I have severe middle child syndrome. I have two brothers and come from a big family. I am a very hands-on person. I love learning but hate homework. You wouldn’t think so, but I am an introvert. I am also huge into fitness and addicted to hot sauce.
HC: What would be your ideal date?
ND: I like to keep it simple. I’ll cook and we can watch a movie… Or go on a walk and get to know each other.
HC:Favorite food?
ND: Anything eggs. I have been cooking omelets since I was 5 years old.
HC: What’s the best quality a girl could have?
ND: Personal Hygiene. It’s always good to have a girl who knows how to take care of herself.
HC: Name one thing on your Bucket List?
ND: Skydiving
HC: Tell us one random fact about yourself.
ND: I can do “the move” Ryan Gosling does in Crazy, Stupid, Love. You know, where they reenact the lift from Dirty Dancing.
HC: What are you involved in on campus
ND: Student Government Association, Cruise Control Club, Bodybuilding Club, Hillel and Circus.
HC: What is your favorite song/band?
ND: Definitely NSYNC, my guilty pleasure is 90’s boy bands. My favorite song right now would be Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard.
HC: What is a normal Saturday in the life of Neil Dale?
ND: Saturday is typically my rest day. I’m usually relaxing, reading or listening to music. At night I’m usually just out with my friends. I don’t do apartment parties… they are gross.
HC: Describe your dream girl.
ND: She had to be smart, but not as smart as me. And an extrovert. Proportional and fit, too.
HC: Sorority girl or GDI?
ND: No preference.
HC: What is the nicest thing you have ever done for a girl?
ND: I used to date a girl who lived about an hour from me. Every weekend I would drive an hour there and an hour back just to get to spend a few hours with her.
HC: Best Pick-up line?
ND: *laughs* Pick-up lines aren’t really my style, I usually just stick with “Hi, I’m Neil.”
HC: Since it’s Homecoming week, what is your favorite thing to do?
ND: I really like going out and enjoying the Homecoming game.
