The second presidential debate took place this past Sunday night and it was yet another 90 minutes of full-fledged entertainment. Audience members delivered an abundance of questions ranging from topics such as tax reform and healthcare all the way to Islamophobia, extreme vetting, and the like. Of course, if you had already known the candidates stances on each of these topics, not much was new to you. What stood out amongst all things were the interactions between Clinton and Trump that ranged throughout the discussion. The tension was high and the ambience was full of presidential pressure. If you were watching, here are some of the reactions you probably had when faced with these historically epic moments as pictured by one of TV’s most accredited bosses – Michael Scott, and his famous staff from Scranton, Pennsylvania at Dunder Mifflin.
When Hillary and Donald controversially didn’t shake hands at the start of the evening:
When Trump defended his recently released statements about possibly sexually assaulting women with, “it’s locker room talk” and changed the topic to the defeat of ISIS:
When both candidates told one another that they owe Barack Obama an apology:
When Trump said to Clinton, “yeah, because you’d be in jail”:
When Anderson Cooper had to remind the audience to shut their pie holes a million times for being disruptive:
When they actually started focusing on audience questions and Trump said, “No, you go first Hillary. I’m a gentleman”:
And did it make anyone else nervous when they realized that both candidates were pacing, wandering, and exploring the stage? At one point it felt like a shark week special about how they never stop moving:
When Trump said, “I would be proud to release my tax returns”:
When Clinton was told that, “Honest Abe never lied. That’s the big difference between Lincoln and you”:
And of course, when they ended the night by stating one thing that they respected about the other. Clinton complimenting Trump on his successful, and loving children and Trump complimenting Hillary on her determination and perseverance:
If there’s anything we learned from this debate, it’s that our nominees might actually have hearts and that Anderson Cooper might just be a real life super hero. With less than 30 days until the election it’s a sure sign that both the democratic and republican parties are stressing out big time.Â
The candidates are almost upon the oath taking and you should be deciding your vote making! Don’t forget to register to vote and to follow your heart. Maybe Kevin could just run instead?Â
Like Scott said, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
