Recently network television stations have been making shows about the kings and queens of Scotland, France and England. STARZ released it’s miniseries The White Queen this past year, HBO with Game Of Thrones and Showtime airing The Tudors a few years ago, people are becoming addicted to the royals.
The CW recently released its new series, Reign, which focuses on Mary Queen of Scots and her marriage to the king of France. It is mainly focusing on her betrothal since the age of 6 to the soon to be King Francis II. I could find nothing to complain about in the show except for its slight difference in what actually happened in history but I promise you could look past that if you watch the show.
The series is currently doing very well in ratings; it didn’t even drop much in viewers on Halloween. I just started watching the show last week and could not stop. There are currently three episodes available to watch, each about an hour long.
If you haven’t thought about watching the series yet here are a few reasons to change your mind….
Beautiful Men
Honestly, please take a look at the two main guys in the show, are you drooling yet? well you should be. It doesn’t stop there either, most all of the men in this show are very good looking, I mean they probably weren’t in real life back then but hey we can dream!
Love Triangle
Oh yes there is a love triangle too, have I sold you yet? Well I won’t give all the details but let’s just say every romance int his show is quite complicated. Either someone wants to marry a royal and can’t or they have to marry a royal but don’t want the one they are supposed to marry… Yikes!
Awesome Costumes
Sparkles, beads, headbands, beautiful gowns it’s all here! I wanted every gown I saw and the cool beads in everyone’s hair? Okay maybe things weren’t that glamerous back then but it’s 2013, you gotta get the audiences attention somehow.
