Spring is in full swing, and I’m going to share my top five fashion faves that are a must for this season.
1. Bright colored tanks
I used to be a neutral kind of girl when it came to base-layer pieces like tanks and turtlenecks. Since spring has sprung and the “preppy vibe” has become more popular (I’m talking BAMA rush-tok colors here), it totally grabbed me and I refuse to go back. I have been loving bright cotton racer-style tanks like this one from ZARA, and if I feel like being bold, an asymmetric tank like this one from Garage Clothing is easy to pair with jeans or even sweats.
2. Gold jewelry
This one is a hot take, and kind of depends on you and what looks best on you. But I have been loving gold jewelry on me, mainly when I have a tan (fake or real, no shame in it). I find that it levels up any outfit, and immediately makes me look like I put more effort into it. My everyday pieces are stacked chunky gold hoops on my ears, and a dainty, shorter length paperclip chain necklace like this one.
This pair of hoops from Etsy for around $20, and this necklace from EVRY Jewelry are a few affordable options that shouldn’t turn your neck green because major bummer when that happens.
3. Biker shorts and button-downs
This is my “I had five minutes to make a cute outfit” look. I always go for a ribbed biker short like this pair from Target, (personal preference but I find them to be better quality and more flattering,) and an oversized dad-style button-down shirt like this one from Misguided. Switching it up with a fun-colored shirt is always a good idea, and tucking in one side of the shirt gives some dimension to the outfit and flatters your body! Pairing this with fun jewelry, some slouchy socks and a cute pair of sneakers and you have a super easy spring outfit!
4. High tops
I have become obsessed with high tops this spring, simply because I love the look of a pair of Nike Blazers with slouchy socks like this pair from Garage Clothing, paired with biker shorts or even a pair of 90s gym shorts and an oversized tee. You could even bring out your Converse high tops with slouchy socks for a retro take on an outfit!
5. Corset tops
So I now accidentally own like right of these. I am loving this trend, simply because it makes me feel feminine and sexy. I think what I love most about these tops is not only how delicate and dainty they look, but their versatility with outfits. Pairing a corset top with a pair of leather pants automatically dresses up your outfit, but you could even pair it with a pair of skater jeans and sneakers, and it is a nice balance between casual and dressy. These tops with dainty jewelry are a 10/10 for spring, and quite honestly, I think they always will be in my book!
There are some pricier versions, but if you aren’t ready to splurge, this lace top from Target for $15 and this satin top from ZARA for $40 are stunning and are super affordable.
