With midterm season coming up, everyone just seems to be so busy with school and work, yet they still want to look and feel good. A way to resolve this problem is to try working out at home. If you have space inside or even if the weather is still nice, you can even do many of these workouts outside. Either way, these workouts are a great way to stay fit and healthy without leaving your home.

1. Workout Videos

Chloe Ting has free workouts on YouTube and most of them are between 10-20 minutes. You can do one video or put multiple together for get a longer workout. Her videos are very creative and leave you feeling great afterward.

If you like dancing, The Fitness Marshall workouts are perfect for you. If you prefer HIIT workouts, PopSugar Fitness has great cardio workout videos. There are so many different types of HIIT videos; some are yoga-inspired or ab-inspired and there are many varieties whether you’re a beginner or advanced. All of these require little to no equipment and are perfect to get you moving at home.

2. Workout Challenges

There are so many workout challenges to keep you exercising and entertained daily. Shape has a 30-day bodyweight challenge and it can be done at home with no equipment necessary. This is perfect for those of us who may not have any workout equipment at home. These at-home workouts are perfect for anyone!

BBG (Bikini Body Guide) is another great one. This is a 12-week program and each week gets more intense. All of the workouts can be done with bodyweight and at-home substitutes for simple equipment. This app was created by trainer Kayla Istines. Each workout is done in 28 minutes and pairs music to the specific workout! Heads up: this app does require a monthly membership to use.

3. At-Home Exercises

If you want to create your own workout at home, there are so many great exercises that can be accomplished only by using bodyweight. Here is a list of just a few great weight-free exercises:

  • Squats
  • Glute Bridges
  • Skater Hops
  • Burpees
  • High Knees
  • Plank Jacks
  • Push-Ups
  • Jump Squats

These are some starting exercises that will get the whole body moving and sweating. Lifting weights is not the only way to have a successful workout; using just your bodyweight can be just as effective!

Sometimes working out can be discouraging or seem impossible, but hard work and dedication can get anyone through any of these great workouts. These workouts all keep you at home and out of the gym, so it’s the perfect option during COVID-19 and for anyone who wants to get some exercise in before work or school.
