School is starting back up and winter break is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up all of your free time just yet. Over the next few days and syllabus week, you’ll have plenty of time to yourself. Lucky for you, Netflix exists. So here are six TV shows you should binge-watch now before all of school’s stresses set in.Â
1. “American Horror Story”
The best reason to binge–watch “American Horror Story” is because each season is its own individual storyline. The different seasons don’t build off of each other, so you can watch them all or pick and choose which ones you have time for.
2. “The Office”
While “The Office” is no longer airing, the comedy just never gets old. You can relive the hilarity of Michael Scott, enjoy the endless pranks between Jim and Dwight and even make yourself jealous of Jim and Pam’s relationship all over again. And let’s be honest, this show is worth re-watching any chance you get.
3. “The Blacklist”
If you aren’t caught up yet, you will certainly want to get caught up now. “The Blacklist” is one of my favorite shows on TV currently, and any fans of James Spader will agree that he is one of the most likeable bad guys television has to offer. Any fans of crime shows will certainly want to get on board as fast as they can.
4. “The Walking Dead”Â
This is yet another show that you will want to catch up on as soon as possible. “The Walking Dead” is one of those shows that’s growing exponentially, and rumor has it the show will only to get better from here, and that’s saying a whole lot with the show’s popularity as high as it is. If that’s not enticing, I don’t know what is.
5. “Mixology”
This show was canceled at the beginning of the year, but the first season is up on Netflix for your viewing pleasure. The entire first season all happened in the course of one night, which is quite a feat to accomplish. But the show was funny, cute and romantic, and any fans of the underdog getting the girl will certainly want to watch this one. And it’s only one season: perfect for those of you that are a little more busy.
6. “Lost”
I know that everyone said the end was disappointing, but if you are looking to avoid mindless television and want a show that’s going to keep you thinking, this is probably your best bet. Plus, everyone loved it up until the end right? And who knows, maybe you’ll think the ending is perfect.
While Netflix has plenty of TV shows to choose from, these are just a few that I think would fit perfectly into any collegiette’s schedule, whether it be extremely uneventful or filled to the brim with activities for the new semester. Either way, Netflix has your downtime covered.Â
