This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois chapter.

Let’s face it, it’s that time of the year again. Midterm season is upon us: the upcoming deadlines for all the assignments you have yet to do, the concerning amount of all-nighters you pull to study for that exam, and the endless amounts of coffee you chug to stay awake, it’s all here…and so is the stress.  But if you’re looking to catch a quick break from it all, check out these places near Urbana-Champaign and get that well-deserved self-care!

1. Japan House

If you’re looking to get out and get some fresh air with the warmer weather, check out the Japan House in Urbana. Walk through the gardens on your own or bring a friend, or even check out the traditional Japanese tea ceremony that they offer. You can even to try some traditional Japanese Matcha. Best part is, it is located on campus, and you can get there by bus or car!
