Whether your personal style is chic, sassy, sophisticated, or edgy, Chloe + Isabel, a new innovative jewelry line, will have something for you. Founded in 2011 by Chantel Waterbury, Chloe + Isabel not only offers a fine selection of classy and fun jewelry pieces, but a job opportunity for the young entrepreneur.
According to Katrina Macaraeg, the Sales Development Manager for Chloe + Isabel, the name of the company comes from the story of two fictional best friends with opposite styles. Chloe has more of the edgy style, whereas Isabel a more sophisticated taste, which allows girls with different fashion senses to all find pieces they will love.
“Having that friendship philosophy behind our company, [allows] mothers, daughters, grandmothers and best friends, with different styles, to all shop together in one location,” Macaraeg said.
Â
Chloe + Isabel is getting lots of attention for its youthful appeal. Refinery29.com reported that the new company deserves “straight A’s” for its “college-ready trinkets.”
“One of the things that really draws (college girls) in is that they are not only able to find something that’s their style, but they are also able to explore things they didn’t know (they would like),” Macaraeg said.
As well as its style, the affordability of Chloe + Isabel’s pieces certainly hasn’t hurt its popularity.
Â
“The prices are great for what you’re getting and the lifetime guarantee really benefits the lifestyle of college student,” said Alexis Ward, a student at the University of Denver and merchandiser for Chloe + Isabel.
However, the company also attracts college-aged women because of the opportunity to run and operate your own business.
“Our vision is really to provide a financial opportunity for the fashion loving, tech savvy young women,”Macaraeg said. “They are able to gain the practical experience right away.”
Ward said she was not only attracted to Chloe + Isabel’s jewelry, but its college friendly business model.
“Chloe + Isabel really gives me the power [and] independence to run my own business,” she said. “It has really been a learning experience.”
Ward expressed how the company has also help ease her into the working world.
Â
“Once you earn that money and it’s in your pocket you feel a different appreciation,” Ward said. “A lot of people don’t really have that opportunity until they graduate and it’s kind of late.”
She does, however, add that the extra jewelry pieces she has accumulated through her work has been just the cherry on top of her experience with the company.
